Automated Metro Line With Unmanned Trains From Hitachi Rail.

In Honolulu, the first section of the Skyline light metro, with a length of 17.7 km and 9 stations, has been opened, featuring platform doors. Along this line, 20 Hitachi Rail trains, consisting of four cars each, with the highest level of automation (GoA4), have started running.

Each 78-meter-long train can accommodate up to 800 passengers, including 144 seated places. The trains provide space for bicycles, surfing equipment, wheelchairs, and luggage. They are also equipped with twelve doors on each side of the carriage and intercarriage passages. The maximum operating speed is 105 km/h.
