This railway project is an important part of the construction plan of the vertical railway network in the eastern half of Mongolia. Its construction enables the railway breakpoint from zhungadabuqi / biqigetu port to Qiaoba mountain to be connected. Goods through Jinzhou port can be transported by fire directly to the China Russia railway, and the logistics channel between China, Mongolia and Russia is more unblocked.

The total length of the railway construction project is 415 kilometers, starting from biqigetu port. After the completion of the whole construction project, the railway connection between biqigetu / zhungadabuqi port on the Sino Mongolian border and erenchabu / soloviyevsk railway port on the Mongolian Russian border can be realized. With the completion of qiaobashan hute biqigetu railway, the mineral resources in eastern Mongolia will move towards the market circulation link, and biqigetu port will become another new export port of Mongolia connecting Russia and Jinzhou port and market, which will be highly competitive in transportation and logistics.
