The difference between high-speed rail and bullet train

The full name of EMU is "EMU train", which refers to the car; the full name of high-speed rail is "high-speed railway", which refers to the line system, including vehicles, lines, signals and other systems. So the two are actually different categories. High-speed railways mainly refer to railways with a maximum operating speed greater than (200km/h, 250km/h, 300km/h due to different standards), mainly the speed attribute of railways. EMUs refer to power-distributed trains. In the past, ordinary trains in my country were pulled by locomotives, and the carriages themselves did not have power. This situation is power concentration. The EMU carriages themselves have power, and the carriages can "run on their own", and the power is dispersed. The 8-car EMUs operating in my country are mainly 6-drive 2-drag and 4-drive 4-drag. EMUs are mainly the category of locomotives on railways. The relationship between the two is: due to the need for speed, China's high-speed railways run almost all types of EMUs, but EMUs do not necessarily run on high-speed railways. For example, subways are generally EMUs, but not high-speed trains. D prefix train, the full name is "EMU Passenger Train", which can be referred to as "EMU". The full name of the train with the prefix G is "high-speed EMU passenger train", and the abbreviation "high-speed rail" is wrong. The correct abbreviation should be "high-speed EMU" or "high-speed train". Therefore, when we usually take a car with the prefix G, it is strictly incorrect to say that we take a high-speed rail, but with people's daily use, this term has gradually become a habit. In terms of speed, the EMU (D) is 200km/h, and the high-speed EMU (G) is 300km/h. Therefore, the ticket price of a train with a prefix of G is usually more expensive than that of a train with a prefix of D, but if both G and D are running on a line with a speed of 200km/h, their second-class fares are the same. G trains can only run on newly built lines, while D trains can run not only on ordinary roads, but also on newly built lines. At the same time, because the two speeds are different, the corresponding train models used are naturally different, and the body strength and internal equipment of the G-prefixed model are also better.
