Track overturn-Causes & Troubleshootings

When the flood surges and overflows from the track bed and rail surface, the track bed is often washed out first, and then the downstream subgrade is washed down, and finally washed out. The track is gradually pushed down the roadbed or even overturned by the current.
2. Troubleshooting
(1) The scope of the track being overturned is not large, and when it is not far from the subgrade, personnel can be organized to go into the water and use crowbars and other tools to move the track back to its original position. This method needs to organize more labor, but it can save a lot of labor for track laying and nailing. It can be quickly opened to traffic only by replacing individual unusable rails.
(2) When the track overturns in a large range and is far away from the subgrade, manpower shall be organized to remove the joints and lift the rails and sleepers back to the subgrade to lay the track nailing track. However, it should be noted that when the rail is twisted too much and seriously, the rail must be replaced, and the inspection should be strengthened after it is opened to traffic.
(3) When it is difficult to pull back or dismantle the track after overturning, the track material shall be prepared separately.
