The internal combustion tamping pick is a hand-held, portable tool specifically designed for tamping operations on railway roadbed stone chippings. Powered by a gasoline engine, it uses a centrifugal clutch, eccentric shaft, and rubber shock absorber to drive the pick body, generating high-frequency vibrations. These vibrations rearrange and compact the stone chippings beneath the sleepers, achieving a denser and more stable roadbed.
This tool is particularly suited for areas where large and medium-sized road maintenance machinery cannot operate, such as turnouts, tunnels, bridges, and culverts. The internal combustion tamping pick features a reasonable structure, compact size, lightweight design, and excellent portability. It is easy to operate, time- and labor-saving, and convenient to repair and maintain.

Basic Operation of the Internal Combustion Tamping machine:
Pre-operation Check: Before starting, inspect all accessories to ensure they are firmly secured and not loose.
Fuel Mixing: Prepare the fuel by proportioning gasoline and oil according to the manual using the mixing pot. Engine Warm-up: Start the engine and allow it to warm up until it reaches operational speed.
Operation: Once the engine reaches the proper speed, hold the handles firmly with both hands and press down. Engage the tamping head with the vibrating mechanism to apply downward force, compacting the roadbed.
Post-operation Check: After completing the work, turn off the engine and inspect all connections for looseness. Tighten them promptly if needed.
