Operation Instructions for Track Lifting and Tamping of Track Turnouts

It is applicable to track lifting and tamping operation of ballasted track turnout of ordinary speed railway.
2、 Operation purpose
1. Regulate the horizontal, triangular pits, poor height and pits, empty hanging plates, low joints and ultra-thick base plates within the turnout range.
2. Adjust the turnout profile.
3、 Operating conditions
1. Use the maintenance skylight, construction skylight or troubleshooting time; For sections with line speed limit or allowable speed less than or equal to 60 km/h (except in the tunnel), the time outside the skylight point can be used to tamp, pad or withdraw the pad by using portable small machines and tools, such as pickaxe, small hydraulic track lifter, and other small tools that can be withdrawn from the line at any time, but it is strictly prohibited to use the interval between the passenger train and the previous train.
2. The switch rail of seamless turnout and the comprehensive maintenance within 25m in front of it, the operating rail temperature range is ± 10 ℃ of the actual locking rail temperature.
3. During the operation of the switch part and the movable frog part, the electrical personnel must be informed to cooperate.
4、 Preparation of tools, machines and materials
Track ruler, wooden folding rule, L ruler, string rope, stone pen, rail thermometer, track lifter, pickaxe, internal combustion tamping pick, internal combustion bolt wrench, ballast fork, T-shaped wrench. Lighting lamps shall be carried for night work.
5、 Operation process
1. Before operation
(1) The person in charge of the operation shall check and check the measuring tools used on that day; The machine operator shall check whether the track lifter, internal combustion tamping pick and internal combustion bolt wrench are in good condition, and whether the oil is sufficient, with sufficient oil.
(2) At the jointless turnout section, the rail temperature shall be measured first after arriving at the site to confirm whether it meets the operating rail temperature conditions, so as not to operate at over-temperature.
(3) The person in charge of the operation and the site protection personnel shall contact the station protection personnel to confirm the blocked section, time, order number and site protection settings before starting the operation.
(4) For single turnout, the straight outer strand is the standard strand, and for other turnout, the outer strand with too many vehicles is the standard strand. Accurately mark the pitted skid head, skid tail and pit bottom, and mark the light and heavy tamping symbols for key parts such as rail bow and empty crane. For turnouts with positioning piles, eye observation, L ruler and chord rope measurement are used to accurately find.
2. Operation process and technical standards
(1) Operation process
A. The person in charge of track lifting bends over 20-30 meters away from the track lifter from the straight outer strand of the turnout, looks at the height of the horizontal extension line of the lower jaw of the rail head on the outside of the rail head, and commands the position and height of the track lifter. For the turnout with positioning stake, the L ruler shall be used to measure the track starting.
B. Start straight outer strand first, then straight lower strand, guide curve lower strand and frog. The two track lifters of the switch rail are respectively placed outside the two stock rails; The track lifter of the connecting part is placed on the upper strand of the guide curve; The front track lifter of the frog is placed on the outside of the straight lower strand rail, the rear track lifter is placed on the inside of the curved upper strand rail, and the two track lifters of the switch rail should be up and down at the same time. For the guard rail part of manganese steel frog, it is necessary to determine whether the track is lifted or not and the position of the track lifter according to the level of straight and curved strands.
C. For the movable point rail frog part, the track lifter shall not be placed within the full length range from the toe end to the heel end of the movable point rail frog, but shall be placed under the straight outer and curved lower steel rails corresponding to both sides of the point rail track starting position, and the movable point rail part shall be lifted. The person in charge of lifting the road shall make a visual inspection of Daping. According to the traffic flow in this section and the actual situation on the site, the settlement can be reserved appropriately. It is forbidden to lift the road.
D. After the standard strand is lifted, use the track ruler to align the lower strand level. The height of the lower strand in the middle of the switch rail shall be based on the elevation of the tip of the switch rail and the heel of the switch rail, and the horizontal extension line of the lower jaw outside the head of the lower strand rail shall be visually leveled. When the connecting part is horizontal to the inner straight strand or curved lower strand, the straight and curved strands should be viewed at the same time. When the straight and curved strands of the whole cast manganese steel frog are level at the front and back of the frog, the straight and curved strands shall be measured with a track ruler at the same time to keep the straight and curved strands at the same level; When the guard rail part is horizontal, the horizontal position of the guard rail shall be determined according to the horizontal state of straight and curved strands after the track starter at the frog falls back.
E. The ballast must be removed when tamping with the internal combustion impact pick: when the track lifting height is less than 20mm, the half ballast of the sleeper box shall be removed; When the lifting capacity is between 20mm and 30mm, one third of the ballast of the sleeper box shall be removed; When the lifting capacity is more than 30mm, if the ballast is clean, the ballast may not be removed.
F. When using the internal combustion impact pick for tamping, first make the internal combustion impact pick form a 45 degree angle with the vertical line of the rail sleeper, and then gradually increase to an 80 degree angle at the end. During tamping, the pickaxe must be swung around and tilted left and right along its central line to make the pickaxe enter the ballast bed and improve tamping efficiency and quality.
G. tamping sequence: tamping from the waist to the joint, tamping from both ends to the center of the pit, and tamping from the joint to the middle. Picks are arranged from the bottom of the rail to the outside, and then from the outside to the bottom of the rail.
H. The internal combustion tamping pick shall achieve "four consistency" during tamping: the position of the lower pick shall be consistent, and the pick position at the same position shall be tamped; The lower pick angle is the same, and the impact pick and the ground plane form an angle of 40 °~45 °; The pick down action is consistent, and pick down together; The tamping time shall be consistent and transferred together.
I. During the tamping operation, an intermediate inspection shall be carried out for the level, height and empty hanging plate, and the fine repair shall be carried out. After tamping, the level, height and empty hanging plate shall be comprehensively checked, and the fine trimming shall be comprehensively carried out.
J. During the operation, the track bed section shall be restored to ensure that the track bed is full and uniform and reaches the standard track bed section.
(2) Technical standards
The static geometric dimension shall meet the operation acceptance standard in the allowable deviation management value, and the track bed shall be clean, full, uniform, solid and free of empty lifting.
3. Post-operation and quality acceptance
After confirming that the conditions for releasing the train are met and the personnel and machines and tools are removed from the gauge, the person in charge shall notify the on-site protection personnel to remove the protection. After the on-site protection is removed, the station protection personnel shall be notified to complete the operation and open the line; After receiving the notice to open the line at the site, the station protection personnel shall repeat and confirm it, and then write it down at "Yuntong-46".
The quality after operation must meet the operation acceptance standard, and the slope ratio of the starting track at the end of the operation shall meet the requirements of Article 4.6.5 of the General Speed Railway Line Repair Rules.
6、 Work safety risk items and prevention and control measures
1. In the seamless turnout section, the rail temperature must be mastered, and the operation shall be carried out according to the operating rail temperature conditions, and the system of "one accurate", "two clear", "three measurements", "four not exceeding" and "five not walking" shall be strictly implemented; It is forbidden to place the track lifter at the thermit weld.
2. It is forbidden to use track lifters in poor condition and without speed droop device on the track.
3. The operators of machines and tools shall not do other work at the same time. They shall adhere to the principle of "three inseparable" in operation, that is, the operator shall not leave the machine, the machine shall not leave the handle, and the handle shall not leave the hand; After getting off the track, the track lifter must be removed from the line. It is forbidden to put it on the track center, track pillow and top surface of the track bed.
4. When tamping in groups, it should be separated by more than three turnout sleepers to avoid the collision of machines and tools.
5. During tamping, the whole length of the turnout sleeper must be tamped.
6. When the "V" skylight is operated in the section with line spacing less than 6.5m, the protective isolation rope must be set between the two lines within the actual operation range. The length of the isolation rope must not be less than the actual operation range. Personnel and machines and tools must not cross the isolation rope.
