Railway Tamping Work

Oct 28, 2024|

Big machine tamping line mainly refers to: repairing track deformation, and using high-frequency vibration tamping picks to carry out automatic levelling, paving and ballast tamping operations on the track to improve the denseness of the ballast in the roadbed, increase the stability of the track, and eliminate the directional deviation of the track, the horizontal deviation of the left and the right, and the height deviation of the front and the back.

Before the big machine tamping, the operator needs to remove the mat board under the rail and supplement the ballast in time to ensure that the quality of the big machine tamping is up to standard.
When the big machine tamping meets the turnout, pay attention to the 'turnout off-pole tamping'.
The disengaged rod tamping is to dismantle all the electric connecting rods and fixed rods of public works in the turnout section, and implement barrier-free tamping by big machine.

It can ensure that the turnout area is pounded uniformly, solve the disease of the combined part of work and electricity, improve the quality of the turnout equipment and reduce the failure rate.

After the big machine tamping, do a good quality back check. Immediately organise operators to backfill ballast on the line, fill in the tamping nest, tidy up the roadbed, fasteners, etc., to ensure that standardised operations are implemented in every link and process, and that the man-machine co-ordination is carried out strictly in accordance with the division of labour before the shift.
Line roadbed serious lack of ballast, pickaxe once under the insertion can not enter the pillow below the bottom surface of the plate knot section should be prohibited to use large road maintenance machinery for tamping operations, roadbed slurry mud section should not be tamping operations.
