The resistance of the switch rail pulled by the electrical equipment is an important technical indicator of the turnout. Reducing the switch rail resistance can reduce the load of the unit equipment and improve the reliability of the turnout conversion equipment.

The friction between the point rail and the slide bed is an important component of the conversion resistance. Trying to reduce this friction is one of the effective ways to reduce the conversion resistance.

Reduce the friction resistance between the point rail and the support pad

The most direct way is to reduce the friction coefficient

Generally there are two types of measures

1. Set a friction-reducing coating between the point rail and the support pad to reduce the sliding friction coefficient, such as applying oil or other friction-reducing materials. This measure is relatively simple and effective, but materials such as grease will accelerate the aging of the rubber elastic elements of the turnout pad and affect the service life of the pad.

2. Through a specific device, the sliding friction of the point rail is changed to rolling friction to reduce friction resistance, such as the turnout roller device.
