Gas pressure welding is divided into two types: melting gas pressure welding and plastic gas pressure welding. Most of them use plastic gas pressure welding.
During plastic gas pressure welding, the two clean end faces of the rail are tightly fitted together, and the veneer is heated with a gas flame. When the veneer and the surrounding area are heated to a plastic state, the metal atoms have sufficient "activation energy" and diffuse rapidly across the interface, the fitting surface is forged to achieve metal chain connection between atoms, complete recrystallization, and weld the two rails together. When laying seamless lines, small mobile gas pressure welding is often used on site to weld long rails into longer rails.
